Dutchavelli - Circle The Endz

On a week where his UK tour got cancelled, Dutchavelli came back to remind his haters and critics how he got where he is with this banger! Still going through some tough times with the accusations of his personal life which I think is reflected in the line "man got bored of drill for a minute but never got bored of drilling" he seems to be taking this in his stride in his bid to silence all the doubters out there. Circling the ends has been mentioned a few times most notable on his track 'Surely' in relation to dropping off drugs "circle the ends like the Royal Mail" which is a clever little play on words. There's quite a few references in this track relating to the trust of people around him and what their true intentions might be "Keep your friends close, enemies closer, that's just the way we kept it, I got bit by a snake last week, I think I need an antiseptic" everyone has heard of the keep your friends close and enemies closer term but the whole bit by a snake and how he needs an antiseptic can be looked at as the "venomous" rumours that have been going around about him. He confronts these potential career ending rumours head on the the line "And what's good with all of these rumours? I swear some man are just deluded, I never came up off public speaking, I built my career on music" which could be a way of telling people that he doesn't need to talk about the allegations in a public forum, as he has been found by the police to have not committed any crime he will let his music talk for him. I like the use Tupacs of Hail Mary lines of "I ain't a killer, but don't push me, Revenge is like the sweetest joy next to gettin' pussy" of which he changes to "My name ain't killer but please don't push me, 'Cause I'll murder you and your friends, Shotgun shells that's full to the brim" and of course the line about leaving a fallen man behind. Video wise Dutch is hunting a man down through the woods in a great short movie by director JDOT TV. Dutch is back and although he has lost some fans he still has a big future in music. 2021 is the year to silence everyone.

Snow Tha Product - Never Be Me

From one set of haters to another, however Snow goes in hard straight off the bat! Talking about how she knows who people are by the way the carry themselves or hate on others, how they try to compare themselves or their lives to hers apart from one big difference, she doesn't care or hate on others, she just wants to be in her bag until it overflows!! The message she has is plain and simple "I really got a bone to pick with anybody that be trying to be my competition, Start with closing your legs then close your fist and hit yourself in the face, I don't even know you hoes exist, You should focus on bread." Lets not overlook the use of her flow, STP flow is amazing, whether it be in English or Mexican she can hold her own against ANY artist, not male or female just any! The moral behind what she says on this is the people that are hating aren't living their best lives or having any sort of luck so instead of putting their energy in fixing it, they put their time and energy into hating on others that are making it. Anyone wanting to make it as an artist should use Snow as a role model, completely independent and using her talents instead of "selling" her looks to gain a foothold in music she is undoubtedly one of the greatest out there.

The 046 - MY HOOD (Prod. DJ Sefru)

This is just straight up nostalgia!! DJ Sefru producing this West Coast G-Funk classic sound, this sound was great back in the 90's and early 00's and to hear it again brings back the reasons why I love music so much. The 046 as always deliver on flow and bars, the first verse going straight in at the cops tryna snatch them up off the streets, the flow is slick and precise, one of the most stand out lines talks about having your own back out there "No-ones got you better than you, that's like the truth being told like drugs being sold on the daily". The second verse coarries on with that nice flow stragiht out with "Fuck all the haters, all you did was motivate us" which really is a big fuck you to all the people that have doubted and hated on them, the 046 feed off that to push them on in their music careers. "Fuck the opps, fuck 12, fuck the judges, fuck the cells." Now time for my favourite, the Ad libs on this verse had me creasing. As I sit re-listening to the track I still find them funny, just listen to the first lines "love me or hate me, your bitch wanna taste me (have a lick), got the pigs still chasing me they wanna cuff me, throw me inside and erase me (like Puff)" it continues with other ad libs that include 50 Cent (love me or hate me) and about stuttering. Even though it sounds like a light hearted easy going track there is alot said mainly towards the police. A great little track. Looking forward to more of this sound and the classic Cali video with low riders.

Kao Denero - WE NOT THE SAME feat GPee & LIMA CRUZ

Sierra Leones finest comes out with a complete different feeling on this one and he even lets the listener know! Starting off with a different look that's alot more commercial than he usually does with yachts on the ocean gives us a more of an Americanised feeling. First lines talks about how people just associate him with dissing so he about to show his range, firstly big difference is he's not alone, a nice catchy hook from GPee with his smooth sounds sets the tone for this track. Kao, even though says he's not going to diss mentions a few times that people cant diss him back, however he doesn't mention any names or fires any direct shots. Instead this has a feel of proving where he is now compares to where he has come from and the trouble's that he has had to overcome through struggles with poverty, people trying to hold him back or back stabbing / hating and struggles with the police trying to lock him up throughout his life. He does remind us about his incredible talents with his cadence and literally mentioning it, Kao is definitely about making music, leaving other things in life behind. Lima Cruz finishes off the verses in her native tongue, and although I didn't understand what she was saying, her flow, cadence and pitch was perfect. All in all Kao is just flexing his broadness that he can do. A great track again.

Pistol Pete & Enzo - F.A.M.I.L.Y ft. BALLY BOY & LDP68

For All Mine I'll Lay Yours.

What can i really say about this track? The real question is what cant i say! At least a hundred times I've spoken about the talent Biordi have signed to them, this track has all the usual suspects behind the scenes that come with Biordi including Moonboy Entertainment and Lowkee that have made a movie with this. Pistol Pete starts us off with nothing but passion, every word you hear you just know what went into it, talking about the loss of loved ones and the vices he uses to help him through his flow remains steady until midway when he breaks out. It almost sounds not quite metal but a harder pain ridden verse with talks of internal wars within himself and some clever word play with pictures and his mind frame. I've personally not heard PP with a sound like this but its welcomed. Since January I've mentioned its hook szn and Bally Boy comes with the goods again in consecutive weeks, very much over looked in my opinion and the first mention of the F.A.M.I.L.Y real meaning he comes on solemn staying with the genre set in the first verse. First time hearing LDP68 and he has a nice mid tempo flow talking about how he's changed his life up, that he's no longer part of the gang but will still always have peoples backs no matter what. The clever use of the church setting co insides with the fight of good and evil within themselves and how the camera angle picks him up but his shadow is doing the actions to his words is simple yet effective. Its a relatively short verse but with 3 different flows that shows versatility and some heartfelt schemes that include not stopping until the paper is legit, I'd like to hear LDP on a track by himself so he gets more limelight. Finally Enzo, Enzo comes out with a quick tempo talking about his past, present and future, the things his done in the past including all the beef he has been involved in, the present being if he is a good role model for his son and the fact he wants to succeed in the music industry, finally the future, hoping his son never has to follow the path he once did and will stay out the system. There's a line that hit me more than any other in this verse "trust me brah, I've had days where id rather be down in the earth, and trust me lad I've had days where I've wanted to go, and put my opps on a shirt". This for me not only ties the 3 verses together with internal struggles and the fight over good and evil within themselves but also shows in a way restraint with not ending his own or someone else's life no matter how much he's had the feeling to do so. Enzo signs the verse off with a warning to young lads runnin on the streets that co insides with my theory of showing restraint and making a change within himself "tell the yungins take note and listen, go run that ball, be brave just know you're running straight to your grave". This whole production from start to finish is a mini masterpiece for me, I've only actually been listening to Australian music for around 16months and how far its come in that period of time is breath taking.

Delawou - Hood ft. Lisi

This is different, there's not many tracks that come to my mind that has the same format Delawou has used on this. If youv'e heard it you'll know what i mean, the use of 'Hood' and the end of each line could be looked at as over repetative, however it isnt, it follows different statements that Delawou is using to show the difference between where he's from and the love he has for that place and everywhere else. Theres so much he says it would take me forever to write about but the stand out ones for me are that no one snitches where he is from, compared to other places. How he's always repping his hood no matter where he is and how he will always go back there. Lisi follows suit using a few funny bars about how no one has the heart to follow through with threats "theyve got no ticker like a broken clock" and the clever use of how he uses the word 'good' when talking about Goodna where he is from. A short but effective track over an upbeat backing track wraps this one up and some nice visuals from Kreezy Visions.

THAT KID KEARVE - PULL UP

A literal last but not least on this, I cannot stress how good and well written this is by Kid Kearve, this track his layer upon layer, everything said has a meaning and a connection to the next line or scheme. Coming out the gate with how sick he is with his flow, there's a non stop barrage of puns that just seamlessly continue to the next with some great humour, one of which got me good that compared a nun to a sl*t. The clever use of the cartoon video by Urban UK Animations make this whole thing amusing. Not to say that this is just a throwaway track, a filler on an album or just something for a bit of fun, this to me is an instant classic. Kearve has made this look so easy, pointing out how different and ahead of the game he is with many tongue in cheek lines he gets a little serious about how he's made his money work for him whilst others live for the weekend, i.e. how legal or illegally he turned an O to a P into a Key, for his house, clever lines like this might be over looked but how intricate it is has me amazed, same with how he says he'll feed people to the crocs whilst he's wearing Lacoste. I like how he plays with the fact he's his own boss and kinda a lone wolf in a way that he wont do a feature. If you've not heard this, do yourself a favour go listen, even the way he hangs with the Reaper and get resurrected on Easter is just silly but so good.
